Warm-Up
In Lesson One, you were introduced to the different elements of poetry, including figurative language. Today, we will take a closer look at figurative language by analyzing similes and metaphors found in poetry.
To get started, let's first see what you remember from Lesson One!
In PowerPoint, create a collage of images that includes all of your favorite things. Write at least 2 similes and 2 metaphors based off of the images provided in your collage. Post the PowerPoint to your individual page. Remember, you want to help your readers visualize!! When you have finished, visit your classmates' pages, and comment on at least 2 PowerPoints.
